EMBARQ Andino participó en el Foro Técnico Público “Sistema Integrado de Transporte y Puente Chilina”
El 26 de abril del 2012, EMBARQ Andino, mediante su Coordinadora de Proyectos, Sybil Settlemyre, participó en el foro organizado por la Agenda para el Desarrollo de Arequipa. En esta ocasión, EMBARQ hizo pública la importancia del apoyo que brinda a la MPA, así como las áreas de especialidad en las que colabora (salud, desarrollo urbano) y algunos resultados de las investigaciones realizadas que graficaban la importancia de la contribución de EMBARQ.
Sybil señaló que se esperan los siguientes indicadores para cuando el Proyecto SIT-AQP esté en funcionamiento:
1. 1,200,000 pasajeros por día
2. 60,000,000 horas de viaje ahorradas
3. 69,040 toneladas de emisiones de carbono reducidas
4. hasta 46% reducción en accidentes de tránsito
Al evento asistieron representantes de la Municipalidad Provincial de Arequipa, del Proyecto SIT, municipalidades distritales de Cayma y Selva Alegre, el Sr. Carlos Casabonne, director gerente de URBI Innovación Urbana, encargada de la construcción del Puente Chilina, entre otros.
